Business Process Analyst

Veendam, Hilversum
Full-time
Fixed-term

About the position

Some people see a complex process. You immediately see how it can be improved. As a Business Process Analyst, you are continuously analyzing, designing, and optimizing processes and system integrations. You effortlessly bridge the gap between business and IT, translate complex challenges into smart solutions, and thrive on solving technical puzzles that truly help organizations move forward.

As a Business Process Analyst, you are the crucial link between business and IT. You translate strategic and operational challenges into smart, future-proof processes within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O). You work closely with key users, consultants, developers, and other stakeholders, both within and outside the Netherlands.

In addition, you play an important role in system integrations. You analyze how internal and external systems can work together optimally, translate technical documentation into functional designs, and guide implementation together with developers and external partners.

You will have both the freedom and responsibility to further professionalize one or more functional domains, such as Supply Chain, Customer Care, or Finance. You analyze processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure that changes are not only designed but also successfully implemented.

Your responsibilities are:
  • Translate business needs into efficient and optimized processes within Dynamics 365 F&O, supported by additional applications where required.
  •  Lead and support international implementation and optimization projects.
  •  Investigate integration challenges and translate business requirements and technical documentation into functional designs.
  •  Guide the implementation of system integrations and API connections together with developers and external software vendors.
  •  Analyze existing processes and propose structural improvements.
  •  Act as a subject matter expert for one of our functional domains and advise colleagues on optimal processes and best practices.
  •  Collaborate with development teams to define, implement, and optimize new features.
  •  Align with stakeholders at various levels and translate strategic challenges into practical, future-proof solutions.

About you

You enjoy solving complex technical puzzles and are energized by connecting systems and processes. In addition, we expect you to:
  • Have strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex challenges into concrete improvement initiatives.
  • Use data to generate insights and continuously improve processes.
  • View processes as interconnected value chains and understand how decisions in one area impact the whole.
  • Be comfortable with change management and able to gain buy-in for new ways of working.
  • Be curious about innovation, whether it involves AI-driven forecasting, advanced reporting, or process optimization.
  • Be a strong discussion partner for both business and IT stakeholders and able to bring people along with your solutions.

Do you bring the following to our company?

We believe you will be successful in this role if you:
  • Hold a completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, IT, Business Information Management, or a related field.
  • Have approximately 5 to 10 years of experience as a Business Process Analyst, Business Consultant, Functional Consultant, or in a comparable role.
  • Have experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
  • Possess knowledge of business processes, preferably within Supply Chain, Finance, or Operations.
  • Have experience with system integrations and can translate technical documentation from external parties into functional designs.
  • Have an affinity with system integrations, APIs, and technical documentation.
  • Have experience working in project environments (for example, Agile or Waterfall methodologies).
  • Are fluent in both Dutch and English, written and spoken.
